The year of growth
Ecclesiastes 3:11
“He has made everything beautiful in its time”
On our fourth month of training we are still experiencing an exceeding amount of grace and seeing a lot of growth within all of our twelve students (Disciples as my friends call them (laughs) and I say “yes”, of God not mine. God is really good.
Emotional!
This month we focused on touching a few personal issues with helping our students develop a strong sense of self by helping them discover who they are and finding out who they are in Christ. Part of that was doing a whole life recap on pain and hurt as well as forgiving and allowing themselves to be forgiven. I must say that for a few of these sessions I was well prepared as a teacher for everything, questions, comments you name it except for one thing the emotional part of everything. I will not say it was unexpected after all the moment that thought of dealing with hurt and pain and past hurt had always been an issue for me. As sad as it is to say “I did not want to do it.” But the past few weeks God has been hitting me hard about it and I had to do it. To make it short our one hour teaching turned ended up being four hours teaching full of emotions and students were praying for one another.
Great News!
So as emotional as it was God came on top and a lot of eyes were opened and forgiveness took place and I cannot say though healing took place, because as I was taught in Counseling admitting you are hurt and that there’s pain is pretty much the first step. So we now have our very own counselor who volunteered to help out our students with their emotional journey and true self identity. I believe God sent her our way because she believes in our vision and is going to serve with us.
On Another Note!
This Saturday we are Co-Hosting an event with a friend where we want to expose a lot of small groups to the public as well as have Core-Art international ministering for the first time this year. Well actually for the third time since we are already from our first two outreaches which were all really great eye opening days of service. The event is pretty much mostly our effort and I’m praying that everything will be a success and that God will really bless it.
Blessings
This month we’ve been blessed abundantly by support from even unexpected sources and it is always amazing to see people buying into and also investing in us as a ministry and the work ahead of us here in Swaziland. We wanna acknowledge the help of Brandon Hofer , Liandi Van Staden, Marisa Visicale, Flaps Van Der Merwe, Hilde Dedekind, Warren le Grange, Elizabeth Virljoen in Namibia, Leonie Van Rensburg, my Mom and of course 13thFloor International, as well as everybody who is praying for us including my friend Kerry in America. I wanna say guys you truly are amazing and that every little effort towards attaining this BIG PICTURE is worth all the hard times and stressing knowing you are behind us even if it is just in spirit. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
UP AHEAD!
We are currently invited to a few schools and a lot churches in my town and we are very excited because we just finished doing ministry skill training and our two outreaches really helped our student see the need in our country and our young people. So with much excitement and vigor we are ready to go fill in some few patches with the passion and zeal we have for God and also serving. We have just a few weeks, two to be exact before we go and do like Patch Adams and help in our expertise.
We are having our very own event on the 19th of July and its coming closer everyday and we are so excited. You will eventually get more details soon. We are going to do a fundraising dinner and to cut costs I will be cooking (hehe (laughing)! Just kidding can’t cook to save my life, but I am learning so I might just be ready by the dinner, date still to be announced…)
NEEDS!
We still need more support especially with our office equipment and training space. We are growing as dancers and actors and ministers but it’s a very small room and we would like use a bigger space especially since we are now even getting more and more kids applying to be part of us or just coming to sit in for teachings. Also in our Big Event and Dinner we still in need of funds to make them successful. So here is a list of things we still need to get every thing running smoothly please pick one and send us money for it and will get it specifically.
